God bless Nicole Scherzinger, forever and always Billie Eilish, Van Halen, Myself, and a Lot of People Not Knowing Each Other! It’s been an incredible year for 17-year-old recording artist Billie Eilish. She is the youngest artist ever to score nominations in the Grammys’ “Big Four” categories: album, song, record, and best new artist. Her album When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? was the most-played on both Apple Music and Spotify in 2019, and it topped Billboard’s end-of-year chart. So what’s it going to be, folks: Sugar Puffs or Frosted Flakes? That’s the first choice you have to make in Bandersnatch, the Black Mirror stand-alone “event” — basically a movie, possibly the show’s fifth season en toto — that dropped 11th-hour–ishly into Netflix queues at the beginning of the weekend. It’s an innocuous decision, really: A British video-game nut named Stefan (Fionn Whitehead) wakes up one July morning in 1984, pads down the stairs and joins his dad (Craig Parkinson) at the breakfast table. And like the man behind this epic tome, the late writer Jerome F. Davies — who bears no resemblance to any real-life authors with … [Read more...] about ‘Black Mirror: Bandersnatch’ Review: Choose Your Own Delirium, Disappointment
By Christian Long - December 7, 2019 12:04 am EST Share 0 Comments 0 The now-notorious Peloton commercial has a sequel, thanks in part to Ryan Reynolds. The Deadpool star recently made something of an unofficial follow-up to the ad titled "The Gift that Gives Back," which features a husband gifting his wife a Peloton exercise bike for Christmas. While the ad drew a lot of negative attention in the wake of its release, Reynolds' own Aviation Gin released a commercial of their own, titled "The Gift That Doesn't Give Back," and it even features the same actress, Monica Ruiz. While the exercise bike in-question is never actually brought up, Ruiz's character sits with a blank stare, before it's revealed she's sitting at a bar with two friends consoling her after... something. Was it due to a divorce or the destruction of the exercise bike itself? It's never made clear, but it's obvious the woman is going to be drinking through whatever she's dealing with. Shortly … [Read more...] about Ryan Reynolds Pokes Fun at Peloton’s New Ad Campaign With Help From Same Actress and His Gin Company
Acer Aspire Switch 10 E Score Details “Acer cuts too many corners with the Switch 10 to make it a competitive budget laptop.” Affordable Quiet operation Solid battery life Poor performance Awkward design Far too much bloatware For the last few years, manufacturers have been chasing the dream of an affordable laptop that converts into a tablet at a moment’s notice. A lot of these systems have unforgivable design flaws or drastic price and performance compromises, which has left us pessimistic there’s a system that comes anywhere close to that goal. Acer’s Switch 10 E marries a compact, versatile design with improved storage and a super low price point. Under the hood, the Acer Switch 10 E is strikingly similar to the Intel Compute Stick. It carries the same Intel Atom Z3735F, a quad-core chip with a base clock of 1.3GHz, backed by just 2 gigabytes of RAM. For storage, the Acer 10 has a 64GB internal SSD, … [Read more...] about Acer Aspire Switch 10 E review
