Let’s not forget, Amazon now owns every Whole Foods store in the country, so that’s even more state and local taxes. You could argue that Amazon, which brought in nearly $178 billion in sales last year, should pay more in taxes. But needless to say, it is not paying a “little” amount, nor is it “no” amount whatsoever, as the president claims. … [Read more...] about Trump’s Claim That Amazon Pays ‘Little or No’ State Taxes Is Utter Nonsense
According to the DOL report, other studies, and surveys of America’s failed experiments with retraining, there are a lot of reasons that reskilling programs flounder. Older workers are reluctant to reenter the classroom environment. Employees are wary of investing time, energy, and resources on retraining if there isn’t a guarantee that a job will be waiting for them when they’re done. Amazon’s return grift has been known for years, both within hacking circles and among sellers who have been scammed. Buyers risk getting banned for too many missing or defective item claims, but the Finans made “hundreds of false online identities” to avoid detection, and were finally caught not by Amazon but by the Indiana State Police and the IRS. … [Read more...] about Couple Grifts Amazon Out of $1.2 Million in Electronics
