Lexus LF-1 Limitless More from the Detroit Auto Show Lexus notes that the LF-1 is lower overall than the production RX midsize crossover, and is designed around the brand’s LS large-car architecture. Though not a startling departure from Lexus’s current design language, it’s worth noting that the brand does not consider the LF-1 an extension of the long-running L-Finesse theme. Lexus suggests that a production variant of the LF-1 could be powered by a hydrogen fuel cell, gas hybrid powertrain, battery, or just plain gasoline. That said, Lexus claims to have to no immediate production plans for the LF-1. CG Says: The LF-1 doesn’t look radically different from existing Lexus products, but we appreciate the softening of the brand’s trademark body creases. Though Lexus isn’t saying this, it’s likely that the brand is considering production of a larger crossover as a “soft road” alternative to the low-production LX 570. Lexus LC Convertible Concept Lexus has already released information on one of its vehicles that will be debuting at the show. As auto-show concept vehicles go, the Lexus LC Convertible Concept is about as down to earth as you’ll find—it reimagines the regular-production LC coupe as a drop-top tourer. 2019 Lexus UX is the very first. It was revealed in March at the Geneva Auto Show and is placed below its NX model, in the subcompact segment. For urbanites, it means a package of cool design, easy mobility, and yes… funky fun! The UX indeed stands for ‘urban eXplorer’ and my meeting with the new Lexus began with a totally urban discovery! This time, the guests were allowed to sit inside the car, watching all the robotic movement around, feeling one’s car – and oneself – being precisely scooped and silently shunted from one bay to another – before finally descending on the party like the spirit of ‘urban cool’ itself! And then, the car went its way doing what it normally does – finding a parking slot. Just … [Read more...] about New Lexus UX 200: Meet the funky urban explorer
Toyota and Lexus vehicles are getting a big upgrade to in-car Wi-Fi later this year. As part of its CES showing this week, Toyota on Monday announced a partnership with AT&T to bring unlimited data plans and a bunch of vehicle diagnostics and safety assistance systems to a number of the company's products. Beginning this fall, a number of 2020 model year Toyota and Lexus products will be available with this connectivity tech. Toyota says the Wi-Fi tech will enable owners to "share entertainment among multiple smartphones and tablets from the open road." Furthermore, the AT&T service will allow owners to choose unlimited data plans. This will replace Toyota's current, Verizon-based Wi-Fi offering, but will not void those existing connectivity plans. "Current vehicle (and owners) are not involved," a Toyota spokesperson told Roadshow. "Once deployed, new vehicles will be equipped with AT&T instead of Verizon." Beyond its entertainment capabilities, the Wi-Fi service will … [Read more...] about Toyota and Lexus vehicles will get AT&T 4G LTE Wi-Fi this fall
Nice Price Or Crack Pipe Is this used car a good deal? You decide! Do you enjoy being driven as much as you do driving? Is so, you might just like today’s Nice Price or Crack Pipe Lexus. It’s luxurious and offers, in Lexus’ words, V12 power with V8 economy. Let’s see if its price is also driving a good deal. Have you ever considered ‘having some work done?’ According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, breast enhancement continues to be the most popular cosmetic surgery performed, although they note that butt lifts apparently are on the rise. Yesterday’s 2000 Hyundai Accent had its butt surgically enhanced, and the resultant pickup bed back end was a pretty noteworthy improvement. Equally laudable was the custom trucklet’s $3,300 price, which took home a solid 68-percent Nice Price win. If you’re a plastic surgeon then it’s most likely that you’re rolling in it. And if you’re that well fixed for cash, … [Read more...] about At $20,000, Could This 2008 Lexus LS600h L Hybrid Turn You Into A Limousine Liberal?
