World Leaders Caught on Hot Mic Clowning Trump, and Princess Anne Is a Real One

World leaders and a fussy baby who keeps telling everyone he won the popular vote are in London for the NATO summit. Unfortunately for America, our representative is a failed businessman- Basically, Advertisement Well, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson and French President Emmanuel Macron were caught on a hot mic clowning America’s racist uncle for his long press conferences during a reception at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday. From the Daily Beast: In video footage posted by the CBC, Trudeau is heard seemingly referring to Trump’s news conferences earlier that day. “Is that why you were late?” Johnson asks the small group, including Macron and Trudeau. “He was late because he takes a 40-minute press conference off the top,” Trudeau says, before the group’s conversation is drowned out by other noises in the room. “You just watched his team’s jaws drop to the floor,” Trudeau says later … [Read more...] about World Leaders Caught on Hot Mic Clowning Trump, and Princess Anne Is a Real One

Baby Girl … Aaliyah for MAC Launches June 20!

Here’s some news that’s hot like fire: There is an unexpected new release inspired by the “princess of R&B,” Aaliyah, coming this June. MAC announced in August that it would be debuting a 2018 collection inspired by the late icon and has finally revealed the launch dates—June 20 online and June 21 in stores—in response to an eager fan. No word yet on what the line will include, but in life, Aaliyah always had the lock on tomboy-infused glamour, perfecting the “athleisure” look long before we’d even given it a name. Her iconic tied bandannas, midriff-baring tops and low-slung baggy pants were just evolving into a more grown-up glam when the 22-year-old and several members of her team were tragically killed in a 2001 plane crash while returning from the video shoot for her last hit single, “Rock the Boat.” But in the 17 years since, Aaliyah’s influence has remained strong; to date, she has sold an estimated … [Read more...] about Baby Girl … Aaliyah for MAC Launches June 20!

What entertainment are you ashamed to be scared of?

This week’s question comes via contributor Caroline Siede, who also wrote the first entry: “What entertainment are you embarrassed to be scared of?” Caroline Siede I thought it only fitting that I pose this question because literally every fictional thing I’m scared of is embarrassing. I’m pretty chill about ax murders, ghosts, zombies, and even creepy possessed kids, but I’m absolutely terrified of monsters—specifically the kind that are played by men in rubber suits. This isn’t a hard and fast rule; I can get through an average episode of Star Trek okay. But there’s a certain kind of creature with a recognizably human build but off-kilter proportions and animalistic qualities that makes me totally lose it. For instance, most people laugh at what I’ll generously call the “Party City Yeti” employed in The Twilight Zone’s “Nightmare At 20,000 Feet,” but I can only watch that episode while peeking … [Read more...] about What entertainment are you ashamed to be scared of?
